Due to the differences in our products, there are different return policies associated with each one. The policy for each product line is listed below.

 

Stair Lifts
Stair lifts are custom made products. The track is cut to the length of your stairs. As this is a custom made product, cut to your specifications, it is non-returnable. Once the track has been cut, your order becomes non-refundable.

There are no returns on stair lifts. No exceptions.

Cancellation:
If your track has not been cut, you can cancel for a fee of $250.00.

Refused Shipment Policy:
If a stair lift shipment is refused by the customer at the delivery address, the customer will be responsible for a minimum $500 fee to cover handling and freight charges.

Curved Stair Lifts
Each curved stair lift must be custom manufactured to suit the unique requirements of the site. The unit is manufactured to the exact dimensions of the site application as determined by the digital survey and no two applications are alike. Lifts go into factory production immediately upon submission of the order to the factory which is after customer signs off on the CAD drawing. Accordingly, AmeriGlide has a substantial investment in resources and labor and as such we have a 25% cancellation fee for any order cancelled after the measurement survey but prior to submission for production, 50% once the lift is in production. Once a custom stair lift order has been shipped it cannot be canceled or returned. The shipment cannot be refused. No refund will be made for orders of this status.

 

Wheelchair Lifts
If you are not happy with your lift for any reason and it has not been installed, simply return it within 10 days of receipt. Freight charges plus a 15% restocking fee apply to all wheelchair lift returns. Vehicle lifts that have been installed on any vehicle cannot be returned.

Call us for a return authorization number between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm EST Monday through Friday. We will send you a return request form for you to sign and return. A return authorization number will then be issued. The Return Authorization number must be on the outside of the box.

Returned lifts must be in new condition, with original packaging, instructions, and warranty material. Again, vehicle lifts that have been installed cannot be returned.

Refunds:
Your refund will be processed after the item has been inspected. We will credit the original credit card. If you paid by check, a refund check will be mailed to you.

Cancellation:
If the lift has not shipped, you can cancel for a fee of $50.00.

 

Vertical Platform Lifts
Vertical platform lifts are custom made for each order and are non returnable. No exceptions.

Cancellation:
If your vertical lift has not been shipped, you can cancel for a fee of 25% (twenty five percent).

 

Dumbwaiters
Dumbwaiters are custom made for each order and are non returnable. No exceptions.

Cancellation:
If your dumbwaiter has not been shipped, you can cancel for a fee of 10% (ten percent).

 

Bath LiftsWalk In Bathtubs
Bath Lifts and Walk-In Bathtubs are non-returnable because of the sanitation issues involved. No exceptions.

Cancellation:
If your walk in tub has not been shipped, you can cancel for a fee of 10% (ten percent).

 

Lift Chairs

When your new lift chair arrives you have 10 days to inspect it for any defects or damage. If there are any defects or damage to your new lift chair the manufacturer will repair it at no cost to you, or replace it with a new lift chair at the manufacturers option. A 15% restocking fee and outbound freight charges will be deducted from all returns. Custom built chairs, such as lift chairs with optional fabrics or massage units, are not returnable. This also includes Pride Leather Lift Chairs.

Cancellation:

A 15% restocking fee and freight charges will be deducted from all canceled orders which have already left the warehouse. If your chair has not yet shipped, a $50.00 cancellation fee will be charged. Please note that custom built lift chairs cannot be cancelled once production has begun on the chair.

 

Electric Scooters

Canceled scooter orders are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. If the mobility scooters has left the warehouse and you cancel, or if you choose to return the scooter within 10 days of receipt,  you will be subject to a 15% restocking fee and a freight charge of $150 or actual freight costs if the item was express shipped. No scooter returns will be accepted after 10 days from the date of delivery.

 

Evacuation Products

Evacuation Products can be returned within 10 days of receipt. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for the returned products. A 10% restocking fee will be charged and the customer will be responsible for the cost of any repairs and/or replacement of missing or damaged items. You must receive a return authorization number before the products will be accepted for return.

 

Replacement Parts and Warehouse Items: No returns are accepted on these items. No exceptions.
