Standard Delivery is included to the majority of UK mainland addresses. A small fee may be applicable if you live further afield, such as the Scottish Highlands, because unfortunately it costs us more to deliver to those areas. More information regarding postcode based charges, special delivery services such as Express or Timed Deliveries can be found below.

Hallstone has developed long-term partnerships with a small number of trusted, third party haulage contractors, allowing us to work closely together in our commitment to continuous improvement of customer service and ensuring our products can be delivered in a timely, professional manner to addresses throughout the UK mainland.
Bulk Bag, Turf, Sandbag, Small Bag & Heat Log Deliveries:
Standard delivery is included in our listed prices to the majority of UK mainland addresses; the few areas which incur a charge can be found at the bottom of this page.
- Deliveries to the majority of locations are made via pallet carrier to kerbside only and are made on non-returnable pallets.
- Delivery vehicles are generally up to 11 metres (36′) long, 2.5 metres (8′ 2″) wide, 4.6 metres (15′) high.
- You must ensure that there are no obstructions to delivery, such as parked cars, low bridges, overhanging branches or weight restrictions.
- It is best if you are in to accept the delivery. We are able to deliver if you are not present and the driver will determine the most appropriate positioning for your goods. With unattended deliveries, Hallstone cannot accept any liability for theft, product deterioration or consequences arising from the positioning of your delivery.
- Pallets are generally off-loaded using a tail lift and manoeuvered using a manual pallet truck which the driver must physically pull into position.
- Manual pallet trucks can only operate on a flat, level, concreted, or similar firm surface. They cannot operate on slopes, gravel, earth, grass or any other type of non-solid surface.
- Occasionally, within the M25, pallets will be off-loaded using a vehicle mounted hydraulic crane (“hiab”) but this is not guaranteed and a manual pallet truck may be used. However, if a hiab vehicle is used, the crane cannot operate in close proximity to overhead obstructions such as cables or tree branches and cannot be used to lift pallets over parked vehicles, therefore if you are in this area you must ensure both methods of delivery, i.e. manual pallet truck and hiab vehicle are suitable. - We undertake to place the goods as close to your property as is deemed safe by the driver.
Where deliveries cannot be made due to insufficient access to the delivery address or difficulties on the approach to the address, an unsuitable offloading area, obstructions, or where incorrect/insufficient instructions have been provided, a charge of £30 (inc. VAT) per pallet will be made for redelivery or return delivery to Hallstone*. Payments made for additional delivery options such as Express Delivery or a time slot will not be refunded.
*Fees must be paid prior to an order being released for redelivery; if the order is returned to Hallstone, the £30 charge per pallet will be deducted from any outstanding refund due. Due to the perishable nature of turf, where delivery cannot be made successfully we will be unable to refund the amount paid for the turf.

Orders placed before 10am, Monday to Friday, can be delivered the following day by Express Delivery. For orders placed after 10am on Friday the earliest day for delivery is Tuesday.
Please note: Turf can be delivered Tuesday to Friday only (or Saturday AM for an additional charge).
If your delivery has not arrived by 3pm, please call us on 0845 604 6088 if you require an estimated time of arrival.

Standard delivery is included in the listed prices for the majority of UK mainland postcodes and we provide straightforward, clear pricing on our website; however due to increases in haulage costs we have made the difficult decision to place a charge on orders in areas which are more expensive to deliver to.
