What is dressbarn’s return policy?

PLEASE NOTE: OUR RETURN POLICY HAS CHANGED.

Returns/Exchanges are gladly accepted within 30 days, except as set forth in this policy. However, items must be unworn and have price tickets attached. You will be required to provide your name, address, and telephone number on all returns and exchanges. Customer identification may be required solely for the purpose of preventing fraud. We reserve the right to refuse or limit returns or exchanges for any reason. In the event we elect to honor a refund or exchange without proof of purchase, we will exchange merchandise or issue a merchandise credit based on the lowest selling price. Please know that if a discount was applied to the original purchase the return amount will be adjusted accordingly; items assigned a “Return Value” take into account any discount that was given on the original transaction, which shows the price that you will receive if you return the merchandise. We will issue cash, credit, exchange or dressbarn merchandise credit based on your original form of payment. We reserve the right to verify original purchase on returns made without a receipt.

  • Cash or Check – a cash refund will be issued.
  • Credit & Debit Cards – a credit will be issued to the credit or debit card used for the original purchase
  • Gift Card or Gift Receipt – an exchange or, a dressbarn merchandise credit will be issue.
  • No Receipt – an exchange, or a dressbarn merchandise credit will be issued for the lowest selling price offered during the past 30 days. A valid driver’s license or government-issued ID required.

Dressbarn reserves the right to refuse returns of items that appear to have been worn, are not in good condition, are without tags or are no longer carried in stock. Dressbarn may limit returns if we believe a customer is abusing our return policy. Reduced price merchandise identified as “Final Sale” may not be returned or exchanged. Merchandise without an original receipt that is deemed “Final Sale” on the date of attempted return or exchange may not be returned or exchanged.

Returning Your Online Order

Returning By Mail ($8.95)
OPTION 1: Click Here (Http://Returns.Narvar.Com/Dressbarn/Returns) to begin the return process and generate your prepaid label.

  • Complete the steps to return your selected items
  • Print the return label
  • Carefully pack your item(s), in the original condition, and include your printed return invoice
  • Affix your shipping label to the package, making sure no other tracking labels are shown
  • Once your package is ready to be shipped, refer to the shipping carrier on the label:
    • For UPS, drop it off at your nearest UPS location
    • For USPS (U.S. Postal Service), give it to your local carrier or drop off at the nearest USPS location

OPTION 2: Return the package on your own

  • Carefully pack your item(s), in the original condition
  • Complete the Return Reason questionnaire on the packing slip and include it in the return package
  • Select a carrier of your choice (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
  • Pay the return postage at the time of shipping. It is recommended that you use certified or insured shipping method for your return
  • Always keep the Return Tracking Number for your return package to monitor delivery status

Once your package is received, a refund will be credited within 1-4 days, in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase. You will receive an email confirmation once the return is processed. Credit for gift returns will be issued to the original purchaser.

Returning To Store (FREE)

We are happy to accept your Dressbarn.Com items for return or exchange in any of our dressbarn stores. To find the store nearest to you, please visit our Store Locator.

Merchandise purchased using PayPal and returned to stores with a receipt will be issued a merchandise credit card for the purchase price. Without an original sales receipt/invoice, we will extend a merchandise credit card for the current selling price of the returned merchandise. Dressbarn cannot return funds to PayPal accounts in store locations for purchases made on Dressbarn.Com. Please use the return label to ship your order back to our warehouse for a refund to your PayPal account.

Merchandise purchased using ApplePay and returned to stores with a receipt will be refunded to the credit or debit card that is associated with your ApplePay account. Without an original sales receipt/invoice, we will extend a merchandise credit card for the current selling price of the returned merchandise.

Merchandise purchased using a gift card or e-gift card will be refunded the amount of the merchandise and tax and a new Dressbarn e-gift card will be issued in this amount. If your order was placed online, your new e-gift card will be emailed to the email address used when the order was placed. If you are returning merchandise purchased with a gift card to a store, you will be issued a merchandise return card (store credit) which can be used to shop online or in stores.
