Refunds & Exchanges

We are happy to provide the option of a full refund or exchange, within a reasonable time, if the goods you receive are faulty or different from those you ordered. We will give all refunds as soon as reasonably possible, and at the latest within 30 days of agreeing to give the refund, taking into account the original method of payment.

Refunds will be given by the same method as that used to pay. In the event of an exchange for a different item, any balance to pay by you or due to you will be made by the same method as your original payment. You are required to take reasonable care of the item(s) while in your control.

If goods are damaged in transit please notify us immediately by email to onlinesales@fhinds.co.uk or by telephoning our Customer Service Department on 0800 034 4637. Telephones will be manned Monday to Friday from 9.00am until 5.00pm.

“Cooling Off” Periods

If you (or your recipient if a gift) are unhappy with any purchase, we will try to assist. As your purchase will have been made through distance selling methods (i.e. via the internet or mail order), you are entitled by law to cancel the order within seven days after receiving the goods. This is known as a ‘cooling off’ period. At F.Hinds we have a 30 day CHANGE OF MIND guarantee on all our products. All of the above is in addition to your statutory rights.

If you intend to return goods under this provision, you are required to advise us in writing (by email or letter) within the 30 days and to take reasonable care of the item(s) while in your control. Should you decide to do this, we will endeavour to provide you with a full refund as soon as possible.

For such change of mind refunds, we are not liable for the cost of your postage or any other additional costs you incur.

Although we do our best to ensure that our pictures and descriptions explain our products as clearly as possible, sometimes you may find that when your jewellery arrives it’s not quite as you expected, or you may have simply changed your mind.

Don’t worry – we have a 30 day CHANGE OF MIND guarantee on all our products*.

There are two ways you can use this service:

IN PERSON

Call into any of our 100+ branches across England & Wales who will return your item(s) to the correct department on your behalf. Refunds are issued daily, so the day we receive your parcel, your money shall be returned (this can take 3 – 4 days to show back in your account).

BY POST

Follow the guidelines below so that we can refund your payment as quickly as possible:

1. Please notify us within 30 days of receipt of your goods (immediately if item received damaged) by email toonlinesales@fhinds.co.uk or by telephoning our Customer Service Department on 0800 034 4637. Telephones will be manned Monday to Friday from 9.00am until 5.00pm.

2. Replace the item in its gift packaging (e.g. ring box) as well as its protective packaging. If this protection has been discarded, please ensure that the item is safely packed as, if it becomes damaged, it may affect our ability to give a refund. Please use the ‘returns’ address label enclosed with your receipt/invoice. Please send any returns to this address only, not to any of our branches, making it clear whether you would like a refund or exchange.

3. When posting your item, please send it in the following way to ensure that we receive it back safely:

Item value

Up to £50 Obtain a proof of posting from your Post Office (this should be free of charge). Please note that in the event of your return not being received by us, no refund can be given unless a Post Office franked proof of posting can be provided.
Over £50 Please use Special Delivery in order to ensure that the item(s) is insured whilst in transit.

4. Once we receive your return, we will promptly refund the credit or debit card that was used to purchase the item. If it was by cheque, you will receive a refund cheque.

*The change of mind guarantee excludes earrings & body jewellery for health reasons, as well as personalised & specially ordered items. All of the above is in addition to your statutory rights.
