RETURNING BY MAIL (U.S.)
we accept returns of unused, unworn products with original hangtags and packaging attached. returning eligible items by mail is free with our prepaid label. just let us know what you’re returning and send it back.
step 1
let us know what you’re returning.
complete the returns section of the original packing slip. if you are returning a gift, include your email address in the returns area of the gift packing slip.
step 2
pack your items and packing slip.
pack them securely, in the original package if possible. keep the non-returns portion of the packing slip for your records.
step 3
affix the prepaid shipping label to the package.
make sure no other tracking labels are showing. if you have misplaced your free return label, contact us at 866-999-5283.
step 4
ship it back.
we recommend that you use ups or insured parcel post. note the tracking number for your records.
returns of full-price merchandise must be made within 30 days of purchase.
returns on sale merchandise must be made within 14 days of purchase.
you can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 30 days of us receiving your returned product.
if you are returning an item that was shipped to you as a gift with a gift packing slip (you’ll be able to tell by it having encoded prices), you may choose to receive an e-gift card containing your refunded amount.
note: we do not accept c.o.d. deliveries.
Returning Legwear and Fragrance
all legwear removed from the packaging, as well as fragrance rollerballs, are final sale only and cannot be returned online or in our retail shops
Returning Swimwear
unworn swimwear may only be returned with original hangtags attached and with original liner intact. price adjustments will be honored within 7 days of the original purchase date and will be refunded in the original form of payment.
International Returns
we do not accept returns for items shipped outside of the united states and canada.

Can I return online order to outlet shops?
items purchased on katespade.com may not be returned to any kate spade new york outlet shops. we do not support returns, reships, or re-credits for items shipped internationally.
Returning furniture or lightning
furniture and lighting are considered final sale and cannot be returned. we carefully inspect each furniture, and lighting item prior to shipment. we also require your inspection and signature upon delivery of furniture to ensure it is in perfect condition.
Returning sale items
surprise sale and select promotions are considered final sale merchandise and cannot be returned online or in our shops.
returns on sale merchandise must be made within 14 days of purchase. final sale merchandise—including merchandise discounted by 50% or more before promo codes are calculated—cannot be returned. products must be unused, unworn, and in good condition with original hangtags and packaging attached. all original packaging must be intact.
Return online purchases
we accept returns of products purchased online and shipped within the united states and canada only. when returning your purchase within the united states, return shipping to our online store is free if you use the prepaid return label that is attached to your packing slip. we do not accept returns for items shipped outside of the united states or canada. we are unable to support exchanges through our online store.
only items purchased through katespade.com may be returned to our online warehouse. items purchased through any of our physical shops or wholesale partners must be returned to the place of purchase. items purchased on katespade.com may be returned or exchanged at a kate spade new york retail shop. orders shipped to canada may not be returned to retail shops in the united states.
