Ann Taylor Return PolicyAnn Taylor Return Policy

Ann Taylor will accept your return or exchange of unworn, unwashed merchandise by mail. Unwashed, unworn merchandise can also be returned or exchanged at any Ann Taylor location with the exception of select merchandise explicitly noted in our return policy below. Please note, we cannot accept online purchase returns at LOFT, LOFT Outlet or Ann Taylor Factory store locations.

We will credit you for returns accompanied by an original receipt made within 60 days of the purchase for the price paid either in the original form of payment or as a merchandise exchange.Returns accompanied by an original receipt made more than 60 days after the purchase will be credited for the item’s current selling price either in the form of a merchandise credit* or as a merchandise exchange. One price adjustment on full-priced merchandise may be made within 7 days from the original date of purchase.

Returns without an original receipt will be credited for the item’s current selling price on the date of the return, in the form of a merchandise credit. Merchandise without an original receipt with a selling price on the date of the return that is deemed Final Sale may not be returned or exchanged.

Final sale merchandise (merchandise with a .44 or .88 cent price ending) may not be returned or exchanged.

*A merchandise credit for online returns will be issued by e-mail as an E-Gift Certificate. A valid email address must be provided.

Weddings & Events Returns
Items labeled in the Weddings & Events Collection cannot be returned to stores; they must be returned via mail. Purchases designated “Final Sale” are final and cannot be returned. Details on how to return via mail are listed below under Returning or Exchanging by Mail.

All Ann Taylor dresses are delivered with an attached “Occasion Dress” tag. Please do not remove this tag until you are completely satisfied with your purchase. Once the tag has been removed, the garment is no longer returnable.

Our retail stores, Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Factory, LOFT and LOFT Outlet stores, cannot accept returns of Weddings & Events merchandise.

Extended Calf Boot Returns
We are happy to offer complimentary returns by mail for all Extended Calf Boots. Please note, Ann Taylor Extended Calf Boots are not returnable to stores. They are only returnable via mail. A return label is enclosed with all Extended Calf Boot orders.

Our Ann Taylor LOFT or Ann Taylor Factory store locations cannot accept returns of Ann Taylor Extended Calf Boot purchases.

Uneven exchanges
If the total value of your exchange is less than the total value of returned items, you’ll receive the difference in the form of a gift certificate. Please be sure to specify the type of gift certificate you prefer on your receipt. Click here for more details on Ann Taylor Gift Certificates. If the total value of your exchange is greater than the total value of returned items, please indicate the credit card to be charged for the difference.

Returning or Exchanging a Gift
If you have received a gift from the Ann Taylor Online store that you would like to return or exchange, please include the receipt so that you can be credited the proper amount. You will receive an Online E-Gift Certificate for the amount paid by the sender. Please be sure to enter your e-mail address on the returned receipt. If you choose to return or exchange your gift to an Ann Taylor store you will be issued an In-Store paper gift certificate for the amount paid by the sender.

Ann Taylor Quick Exchange Service
To save you time, we have our Ann Taylor Quick Exchange Service. If you find that an item you ordered isn’t just quite right and need a replacement as soon as possible, all you need to do is call us at 1 800 DIAL ANN. We’ll quickly place an exchange order, charging your preferred credit card. In addition, we’ll help you make your return to our Online Store or to an Ann Taylor Store nearest you.

Price Adjustments
One price adjustment for merchandise purchased at full-price, which has been marked down for the first time, may be made within 7 days from the original date of purchase. Price adjustments are not eligible on special promotions, including %’s off (e.g., 25%, 40%, and 50% etc.) and $’s off. Please note, our stores are not able to process price adjustments for online orders. To request a one-time price adjustment, please e-mail us at clientservices@anntaylor.com within the 7-day window. Should you be eligible for a price adjustment, we will gladly credit your original form of payment within 1 week of receipt of your email and send you an email reply confirmation. Depending on your credit card cycle, however, please allow 1-2 cycles for the credit to appear. Should you not be eligible for a price adjustment, we will reply with an email, as well.

Returning or Exchanging by Mail
To expedite your return process and ensure the accuracy of any credit, please:

  • Fill out the “MERCHANDISE TO RETURN” section on your original receipt. Please help us improve our service by providing the main reason for return using the codes listed on your receipt.
  • Then fill out the “PLEASE SEND ME” section, specifying if you would like an exchange, a gift certificate, or a refund.
  • In the original box, carefully pack your item(s), including the tags, in the original condition, and include your completed receipt with the item(s). Be sure to keep a duplicate copy of this receipt for your records.
  • Place the shipping label on the outside of your box and mail it back to the address on the label.
  • Return via insured carrier for tracking purposes. We are sorry, but we cannot accept C.O.D packages.
