1. How do I return my books when I’m done with them?

A pink return envelope was sent to you with your rented textbooks (or shortly after receiving your textbooks). This pink mailer has a USPS prepaid and pre-addressed label already attached. Simply open it up, place your books inside, and drop the package off at the nearest USPS blue mailbox or post office. This process ensures that your books are returned to the correct location – and the tracking that is built into each label gives you peace of mind. When we receive your textbooks, your account will be updated to show the books were retuned. A confirmation email with then be sent to complete the rental cycle.

2. What do I do if I lost the pink return mailer?

Fortunately, textbooks may also be returned with a printed return label from your online account. Once you’ve logged in online, click on “My Account” and then the “Return My Books” button. After selecting the appropriate reason for returning your books, click on the “Print Off Return Label” button. You will need to print the label that pops up on your screen.

After printing the label, place your individually wrapped books in a box with some sort of packing material. (Newspaper works great!) Tape the label on the outside of the box. The package can then be dropped off at a United States Postal Service (USPS) drop box or store.

3. What if my books don’t all fit in one package?

You can print another return label from your online account for a second return package. Once you’ve logged in online, click on “My Account” and then the “Return My Books” button. After selecting the appropriate reason for returning your book(s), click on the “Print Off Return Label” button. You will need to print the label that pops on your screen.

After printing the label, place your leftover books in another box with some sort of packing material. (Newspaper works great!) Tape the printed label on the outside of the box. Both packages can then be dropped off at a United States Postal Service (USPS) drop box or store.

4. What if you don’t receive my books by their due date?

We realize the end of a semester can get a little crazy. All rentals have a 15-day grace period. As long as your textbooks are received in our warehouse 15 days after your due date, no fees will be charged.

5. What if I need to keep my book longer than the rental period?

Our rental periods should provide ample time for you to complete your classes. However, if you find yourself needing to extend your rental period or re-rent the book altogether, simply access your account and select the book(s) you wish to extend or re-rent. You will be led to several options prior to checkout. You can extend 15 or 30 days, or re-rent the book all together at a stellar discount.

6. What if I want to keep my book after I’ve rented it?

In order to keep your book, you will need to pay the difference of what you already paid to rent the book, and the book’s current market value. To do so, simply access your account and select the book(s) you wish to buy. After clicking the “Buy Checked” button, you will be taken through the checkout process. Your account will then be updated to display a “purchased” status.

If you would like to purchase your book but don’t have all the money upfront to do so, you may pay a smaller amount to extend the rental for 15 days. You can continue doing this until you reach the purchase price for your books.

7. I lost one of my books — what do I do?

In order to clear your account, you can contact our Customer Reps and pay the buyout fee for the book OR you can send a replacement copy of the book.

If the book was rented with an insurance plan, you will have to clear your account by contacting our Customer Reps and paying the (small) replacement premium.
