How do I return an item?

Please refer to the detailed information below for our return and exchange policies for eyewear and contact lenses. When contacting us for return or exchange authorization (email preferred: contact@eyewearenvy.com), please include your name, order number and the product name(s) that you wish to return, and a reply will be sent within 1 business day. Please note time frames below for returns and exchanges. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. We are not responsible for returned items that are lost and/or damaged in transit.

Please email us (contact@eyewearenvy.com) if you wish to place an international order. Please include the products you wish to purchase, shipping address and phone number. All international orders are processed via PayPal. Please note, all international orders are FINAL SALES (NO RETURNS, NO EXCHANGES), and will only be considered for return if defective within one year from date of purchase (please see below for what qualifies as defective).

Sales tax is applied to the purchase of non-prescription eyewear (non-prescription sunglasses or frame only) and accessories to customers located in Texas and California. If you purchase prescription eyewear and are charged sales tax, we will refund the tax to you when the order is processed.

1. Frames:

A. Manufacturer’s warranty:

All our prescription frames and sunglasses are carefully inspected for quality before shipment, and are guaranteed for one year from date of purchase against manufacturer defects. This includes defects in the structure of the frame or in the coloring of the frame. Accidental damage or loss to frames is NOT covered by warranty (this includes but not limited to: misuse causing frame damage, scratching or tarnish; pet-inflicted damage; destruction or damage by vehicle or other machines; stepping on or sitting on the frame; bending or twisting the frame; damage from chemical exposure; exposure to extreme weather conditions or any other damage not considered a manufacturing flaw). We are not responsible for damage caused by optical shops during lens fabrication, adjustment or during any other services provided by another business.

If you feel you received a defective frame please email Eyewear Envy (contact@eyewearenvy.com) IMMEDIATELY with your order number and frame model name, and we will authorize a return. The customer will be responsible to pay the shipping charges (including insuring the product) to return the product, and if indeed the product is defective Eyewear Envy will refund the customer the shipping charges. The defective frame (including lenses) must be returned in its condition with case and unused cleaning cloth, or no exchange will be issued. Eyewear Envy reserves the right to inspect the product upon return and refuse exchange if not deemed defective. If product is not determined to be defective, customer will responsible for all shipping charges (including shipping insurance). All defective frames will be replaced with the identical product. If the product is no longer available the customer will be contacted to substitute a different color or different model at equal or lesser value.

B. Exchange of Eyeglass or Sunglass Frame:
In the event you are not happy with the frame or sunglass you selected (color or model), we offer a one-time exchange within 14 days of receipt. If the exchange requires a remake of the prescription lenses, the new lenses will be made at 50% of original lens cost. Lens upgrades will be charged 50% of the original lens cost plus the difference. Please email Eyewear Envy (contact@eyewearenvy.com) with your order number within 7 business days of receipt and we will authorize a return shipment. Please note the customer is responsible for all shipping charges (including insuring the product) to return the original product and for shipment of the new product. Promo codes, discounts and free shipping do not apply to exchanged products. The frame and lenses must be returned in original condition with case and unused cleaning cloth, within 14 days of receipt of product, or no exchange will be issued. If you wish to exchange for a product of greater value you will be charged the difference (promo codes, discounts and free shipping do not apply to exchanged products).

C. Frame Return Only:
Frames (excluding defective) that are returned and not exchanged within 14 days of receipt (with prior authorization) will be issued a refund via original method of payment. Email Eyewear Envy (contact@eyewearenvy.com) for return authorization.

Frames (excluding defective) that are not given return authorization or are not returned within 14 days of receipt (with prior authorization) will not be issued a refund or exchange.

2. Lenses:

Due to the specialized nature of prescription lenses, they are NON-REFUNDABLE and can only be exchanged if deemed defective or if the prescription was determined to be incorrectly made. Eyewear Envy is not responsible for prescriptions that are incorrect due to the customer providing inaccurate prescriptions or pupillary distance (PD) measurements.

A. Warranty:
All our prescription lenses, coatings and tints are carefully manufactured in a professional optical lab and are inspected for accuracy and quality before shipment, and are guaranteed for one year from date of purchase against manufacturer defects. Accidental damage or loss to lenses is NOT covered by warranty (this includes but not limited to: misuse causing lens or lens coating scratches; pet-inflicted damage; destruction or damage by vehicle or other machines; stepping on or sitting on the lenses; damage from chemicals including cooking oil, beauty products or glue; exposure to extreme weather conditions or any other damage not considered a manufacturing flaw). We are not responsible for damage caused by optical shops during adjustment, or during any other services provided by another business.
If you feel you received a defective lens(es) please email Eyewear Envy (contact@eyewearenvy.com) IMMEDIATELY with your order number, and if we determine the lenses to be defective we will authorize a return. The customer will be responsible for the shipping charges (including insuring the product) to return the product, and if indeed the lenses are defective or incorrectly made Eyewear Envy will refund the shipping charges. The defective lens(es) must be returned (including the frame and case) within 14 days from the date of return authorization. Eyewear Envy reserves the right to inspect the product upon return and refuse replacement if not deemed defective. All defective lenses returned within 14 days from the date of return authorization, and determined to be defective will be replaced with the identical product.

B. Prescription:
All our lenses are inspected for accuracy to match the specifications (prescription and pupillary distance/PD) provided by the customer. If you feel your prescription was incorrectly made, please email Eyewear Envy (contact@eyewearenvy.com) with your order number within 7 days of receipt and we will authorize a return shipment to remake the lenses. The lenses must be returned within 14 days of receipt, or the lenses will not be remade. Eyewear Envy will reinspect the lenses, and will remake the lenses at no charge if the prescription was made incorrectly.
If the prescription is correct as ordered, you will be asked to return to your prescribing eye doctor to have the prescription rechecked, and Eyewear Envy will remake the lenses to the new prescription at 50% of the original lens cost. If a new prescription is not provided to Eyewear Envy within 30 days of customer’s original receipt of the glasses, new lenses will only be made at the full expense of the customer.

If the prescription is incorrect due to customer error (i.e. customer types incorrect prescription when ordering), new lenses will only be made at the full expense of the customer.

3. Accessories (lens cloths, eyeglass cases/pockets, stick-on nose pads):

All accessories are eligible for return or exchange within 14 days of customer order receipt. All returned accessories must be unused and returned in their original packaging, or no refund will be given. Please email Eyewear Envy (contact@eyewearenvy.com) with your order number within 7 business days of receipt and we will authorize a return shipment. Please note the customer is responsible for all shipping charges (including insuring the product) to return the original product and for shipment of the new product. Promo codes, discounts and free shipping do not apply to exchanged products. The product must be returned within 14 days of receipt of product, or no refund nor exchange will be issued. If you wish to exchange for a product of greater value you will be charged the difference (promo codes, discounts and free shipping do not apply to exchanged products).

4. Contact Lenses:

A. Products Eligible for Return

All unopened, undamaged, unmarked, and unaltered product may be returned for exchange or credit, within 30 days from the date of invoice. The product must be free of stickers, marks, or any other type of package alteration, or they will not be valid for refund or exchange. Product with less than 6 months of expiry, discontinued or special promotional products are not eligible for return for credit. Please contact customer service at 1.888.663.9137 or email contact@eyewearenvy.com with your name, order number and reason for return.
Damage in Transit – Shipment Errors: Products damaged in transit or shipped in error may be returned, provided the damage or error is reported to Customer Service within 5 days after receipt of shipment (email customer service at contact@eyewearenvy.com, or call 1.888.663.9137).
Defective Lenses and Adverse Effect Reporting: Any product associated with a complaint, including adverse events, must be returned in order to comply with FDA regulations. Please contact customer service at 1.888.663.9137 or email contact@eyewearenvy.com immediately to arrange for the return.
