Hammacher Schlemmer Return Policy
Hammacher Schlemmer strives to ensure that our customers are 100% satisfied with their purchase; however, we understand that there may be a need to request a return or exchange. Under our Lifetime Guarantee of Satisfaction, items that we sell are guaranteed for their normal life under standard non-commercial use. In the unfortunate event that you need to return an item, please refer to the applicable section below for instructions on how to return or exchange your item.
Return Form
Please include a copy of the return form you received with your shipment. If you do not have a return form, please click the button below to print one and include it with your return package
Returns
If you elect to receive a refund on your return, please fill out the Return Form, located on the back of the packing slip that was included in your order. If you no longer have your Return Form, please print one using the link above or include the following information in your return package:
– Name
– Billing Address
– Billing phone number
– Order number
– Item you are returning
– Reason for the return
Gift Recipients
Customers who receive our merchandise as a gift may also participate in our lifetime guarantee. In the event that you need to return your item for a refund or an exchange, please include the following information with your return:
– Original Order Number
– Purchasers Name
– Purchasers Address
– Recipient’s Name
– Recipient’s Address
– Recipient’s Phone Number
– Item returned
– Reason for the return
– Item number for new order (if exchanging)
If you are unable to provide the above information, please reach out to Customer Service at 1-800-321-1484 Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 9 PM EST and Saturday – Sunday 7:30 AM – 8 PM EST. to provide the information necessary to identify your order details.
Merchandise can be exchanged for the same item or a different item. If you choose to exchange your item for merchandise of lesser value, we will refund the difference to you via a Hammacher Schlemmer Gift Certificate. Exchanges for items of greater value will require additional payment. Return processing fees are also applicable.
Refunds for gift recipients can only be provided in the form of a Hammacher Schlemmer Gift Certificate.
Truck Returns
Due to their size and weight, items that were delivered as freight shipments will be assessed a fee of at least $150.
Pre-Printed Label Options
1) Pre-Printed labels: If your packing slip contains a pre-printed return shipping label (example below), you may use that to return your merchandise. Simply apply the return label over the original shipping label, and tender to your postal carrier.
SmartPost Return Label. Tender to postal carrier or local post office.
2) United States customers can also print or obtain your own United States return label via email. Please enter your address and contact information in the form and include your order number in the field marked “Reference”.
Please note that:
– Packages under 10 lbs. will be assessed a $10.95 return fee
– Packages over 10 lbs. will be assessed a $14.95 return fee
In the event you choose to ship the return package via an alternative shipping carrier, Hammacher Schlemmer will not reimburse more than $10.95 for an item that weighs less than 10 pounds and not more than $14.95 for an item that weighs more than 10 pounds.
Returning a product that was not purchased from Hammacher Schlemmer risks forfeiture of the merchandise. All returns are subject to inspection.
Canadian Customers
Canadian customers can print their own Canada return label. Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to process exchanges for our Canadian customers. Please contact customer service to return your item and place a new order.
Return and Exchange Processing Time
Please allow two to three weeks for processing returns and exchanges. Returns after the Holiday Season may require longer processing times.
