Beware Gift Cards & Return Policy
Very disappointed. Made multiple item purchase totaling over $138.00. I used 2 gift cards I had been given- each valued at $20.00. I got home and realized I already had one of the items I purchased. I returned to the same store, same day to return the unopened item worth $24.00. I was told they could not issue a return to my credit card for the $24.00 because "I" had used my 2 gift cards and "those were applied first" to the purchase and then my card was charged, so they could not refund me for that one item. While I could appreciate the fact that credit could not be returned to me if the total had not exceeded the purchases I made and paid for with my credit card, or if it was one item, or if it is was coupon related, but it is ridiculous to tell the customer "you applied the gift cards first" like I planned it, and that I had to take the refund on the item as a gift card return. Absolutely will not be returning as a customer although I had plan to bring my daughter in to purchase over $300 in luggage for her move soon. It is the principle of the nonsensical approach to purchases far exceeding the total paid for beyond the gift card.
