Do you have questions about Readers.com’s return or exchange policy or how to make a return? Whether you’ve changed your mind or your reading power, we offer an easy return process! Below are commonly asked questions on returns and exchanges for your convenience.

How do I return my order for a refund or exchange?

Visit our Manage Your Returns page to set up your return electronically. Please remember, the majority of our customers take advantage of our Guest Checkout feature, which means most customers will need to use the “Don’t Have an Account?” side of the webpage.

You are more than welcome to return your reading glasses without using the electronic returns page. Please include a copy of your invoice with your return.

If you would like to exchange your item for another, please email info@readers.com or call our Customer Happiness team at 1(800) 210-3975 so that we can reserve your selection until we receive your return.

All U.S. exchanges are mailed from our warehouse via USPS First Class mail at no cost to you. Non-U.S. orders will incur applicable shipping charges. Any difference in price will be charged or refunded to your original form of payment.

All returns must be in like-new condition to be accepted for a refund or exchange. You may refer to our Happiness Guarantee for more details. Refunds will be issued to your original method of payment unless you have requested otherwise. You will receive a confirmation email once your refund has been submitted.

Please let us know if you would like a prepaid return label, and we will email one to you. Please note that if you would like a return label, $2.95 will be charged to your account.

What is your return policy?

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, our Happiness Guarantee allows you to return it for a refund or exchange for up to 90 days after your purchase date. What happens if my item arrives broken or defective?

We want to ensure that our glasses arrive without defects or shipping damage. If any item you receive is broken or defective, please give us a call at 1-800-210-3975 or email us at info@readers.com so we can take care of the issue for you. See our Happiness Guarantee for full details.

Are your return shipping labels free?

We understand that finding the right reading glasses over the internet can be challenging. We allow returns and exchanges within 90 days of the date of purchase as many times as necessary to get each customer the right item for their needs. We do not provide free return shipping labels to send the return item(s) back to us, but we do pay to ship any exchange items back out to U.S. customers.

If you choose, we can provide an emailed or mailed return label for $2.95, which we typically deduct from the refund at the time the return is processed. You are also welcome to purchase postage on your own, and we recommend using the United States Postal Service (USPS) for the most cost-effective postage. If your item is damaged or defective, please contact our Customer Happiness Team immediately. We will be happy to take care of the issue.

Can I return items purchased during a BOGO offer for a refund or exchange?

Any item purchased during a Buy One Get One Free (“BOGO”) offer may be returned for an exchange or refund.

Exchanges

Items from a BOGO deal are individually eligible to exchange for any item that is of equal or lesser value than the original item’s full price. Any price difference between the original item(s) and the new item(s) will be refunded or charged to your original form of payment. Please see the example below.

Returns

Items purchased during a BOGO offer are viewed as pairs. The BOGO offer applies to the lower-priced item in the pair, making the lower-priced item free. If a return is necessary, each item in the pair has a new, equal value based off of the order total for the two items minus shipping charges. Returning any of the items from a BOGO offer will refund the new value of the returned item to your original method of payment. Please see the examples below.

Example for Exchanging One Item from a BOGO Offer

The order contains two items: Item #1 is $14.95 and Item #2 is $18.95. If an exchange is set up for Item #1, any item that is priced $14.95 or less is eligible for the exchange. If an exchange is set up for Item #2, any item that is priced $18.95 or less is eligible for the exchange. Any price difference between the original item(s) and the new item(s) will be refunded or charged to your original form of payment.

Example for Returning One Item from a BOGO Offer

The order contains two items: Item #1 is $14.95 and Item #2 is $18.95. The order total (minus shipping) is $18.95 (the BOGO offer applies to Item #1), meaning each item now has a value of $9.48, or half the order total. Because the order total is divided equally between the two items, the refund amount will be $9.48 regardless of which pair is returned. Refunds do not include shipping charges.

Example for Returning Both Items from a BOGO Offer

The order contains two items: Item #1 is $14.95 and Item #2 is $18.95. The order total (minus shipping) is $18.95 (the BOGO offer applies to Item #1), meaning each item in the pair now has a value of $9.48, which is half of the order total. Returning both items will refund $18.95 (plus any applicable tax) back to the original method of payment. Refunds do not include shipping charges.

Do you refund shipping fees?

Unfortunately, we are unable to refund any shipping costs. This means that your refund does not include shipping charges previously paid for USPS First-Class Mail, USPS Priority Mail, USPS Priority Mail Express, USPS Priority Mail Express International, UPS Ground, or shipping charges incurred upon returning the merchandise.
