TomTom allows you to return your hardware product for any reason provided that it has not yet been used at any time during the thirty (30) days following the date of delivery.

If the product has not been opened and is in the original, sealed packaging, TomTom will refund the purchase price paid minus shipping and handling charges.

If the product has been opened, TomTom will refund the purchase price, minus shipping and handling charges, and minus a 15% restocking fee. TomTom will not issue refunds for products that have been defaced, altered, used, or damaged in any way.

How do I arrange a return?

If you would like to return a product, click here to contact TomTom Customer Support. TomTom Customer Support will provide you with a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number, which is required for correct handling of your returned product.

You will need to provide the following information when contacting Customer Support:

  1. Your TomTom order number.
  2. The reason you want to return the product.
  3. Your name, postal address and e-mail address.

Once all details have been checked the RMA number will be created. A confirmation email will be sent to you that includes the steps to follow to correctly return the product.


  • Make sure you pack the product securely and include a copy of your proof of purchase.
  • Ensure the RMA number is clearly visible on the outside of the packaging as well as on the copy of the proof of purchase you include inside the box.
  • Do not return a product without a RMA number.
  • Failing to include a valid RMA number might result in the product being returned to you, a delay in processing and/or your order not being refunded.
  • Keep hold of your proof of pick-up and make a note of the tracking number.

What happens after your product is returned?

The package will be shipped to our warehouse to be inspected based on the information provided when the RMA number was created.

Once the inspection is complete the refund will be processed and you will be informed via email. Allow a couple of weeks for the refund to be processed.

If unreported damage is found, either a charge will be applied (product will be handled as an out-of-warranty repair) or the product will be returned to you.
